Baitarni – Got Trademark Registration for both Word and Device Mark

Baitarani, the brand name is owned by Mr. Jajati Kishore Behera the owner of M/S Sai Foods situated at Keonjhar. He started his business with ranges of cereal such as Wheat; Rice Flour; Suji; Maida (Wheat Flour); Besan (gram Flour). His business became popular in Keonjhar as well as all over in Odisha under the brand name ‘Baitarani’. He, then started to spread his business all around India. He has also a logo for his brand name ‘Baitarani’ namely ‘Baitarni Premium Quality’.

Registration of trademark is essential and fruitful, for the owners of a Company, Organisation and Individual to protect their brand name for their goods/services in the competitive market place. Registration helps in creating the brand image of their products or services.

After filing, no objection was raised by Indian Trademark Registry and the trademark application was published in the trademark journal for opposition by third party. However, no opposition came forward.

As there was no objection and opposition raised for these trademarks, in June, 2017 ‘Baitarani’ and ‘Baitarani Premium Quality’ got registered and trademark registration certificate was issued by the Registry. Upon successful registration now, ‘Baitarani’ brand name has got more protection against infringement by others and also gained more reputation, fame for its products in commerce.
