Today’s Patent- Long Distance Telegraphy Signals
Telegraph is one of the most important invention in history. However, without telegraphy signals, telegraph would not have been of any use. The inventor of these telegraphy signals was a NYU professor Samuel F.B Morse.
On 20th June, 1840, Samuel F.B Morse got a patent over this and the title of the invention was “Improvement in the mode of communicating information by signals by the”. This Patent was granted by USPTO with application number US1647. This was a simple “Dot-Dash” telegraphy signal, famously known as the “Morse Code”. This system helped in sending complex messages. The US congress funded Morse and Vail to test their telegraph system.
