Today’s Patent – MULTI – FUNCTIONAL CONVERTIBLE GARMENT
Trends of fashion are ever-changing to suit the needs and requirements of society. Having said that, convertible garments are not a new concept as the roots of it have been laid down during the 20th century itself. The invention of “Multi-functional convertible garment” (US4232402) was patented on November 11th, 1980 in the USPTO, invented by Elizabeth M. Roche.
The present invention is very well adapted for furs and clothing related to such materials. There are four parts to this garment namely a jacket member, a first extension member, a second extension member, and a belt member.
The main objective of this invention is to be suitable for any use in any situation and adaptable to different weather conditions. So far, we have not seen any convertible garments to be used for different situations while the present invention can be used as a jacket, stole, a maxi full-length coat, street length, or car coat. It is convertible to suit the different styles and a trendy change of wardrobe.
