Today’s Patent- Diamond Synthesis
Diamonds are said to be one of the most precious jewels on the face of the earth. However, finding a diamond is not an easy task. As a reason of which Francis P Bundy, came up with a process of making diamond synthetically.
He got a patent protection over this method on 2nd August 1960 in USPTO with patent number US2947611. We are honoring this inventor and his invention by making it our “Today’s Patent”. This patent talks about converting a carbonaceous material to diamond. Mostly this invention talks about synthesis of diamonds employing platinum as a catalyst.
