Today’s Patent- Manufacture of soft surfaced cured cheese
On this day i.e. 9th June , in the year 1953, John H Kraft was granted patent for manufacture of soft surface cheese.
This Patent was granted by USPTO with patent no. 2641545A. This invention relates to the making of the soft surfaced, cured mauled, ripen cheese. The object of this invention lies behind the fact that cheese usually comprises of soft interior portion, which may be liquid or semi- liquid which is usually encased in a mold pad. So difficulty arises in cutting the pad and separating the mold part from the soft surface. The current invention tried to get rid of this problem by coming up with a method in which mold part of the cheese will be separated from the soft surface readily and easily.
