Established on May 28th, 1937 the company was first known as “Gesellschaft zur Vorbereitung des Deutschen Volkswagens mbH”and later shortened to “Volkswagen”. Having undergone even the world war, no one could have ever guessed that it would one day be Europe’s largest car maker. In 2003 production of the fifth-generation Golf is started, embodying a new dynamism in its design and engineering.

Volkswagen registered its mark on 8th June 1965 under USPTO with registration number- 790621, 15 years later of using the mark since 1st July,1950. Volkswagen which basically means people’s car works in the field of automobiles and trucks.
