Morgan Stanley is a famous name in the investment banking and financial sector. It is an American investment bank and financial service company. Founded by the owners of J.P Morgan & Co, Henry Sturgis Morgan and Harold Stanley in 16th September, 1935, today the company has offices in more than 42 countries and more than 55,000 employees.
The current company is the result of collaboration between Morgan Stanley and Dean witter Discover & Co. By the merger the name of the company became “Morgan Stanley Dean witter Discover & Co”. This became the largest investment company till date. In 2001 the company changed its name back to “Morgan Stanley”.
The main business of the company is institutional securities, wealth management and investment management. During 1995, the company started expanding their business by entering into china, they expanded further by entering into Asia and Latin America.
Other than the banking part the company is actively participating in community commitments by making hospitals for children. The company went on to start strategic alliance with other companies such as “Mitsubishi Financial Group”.
The company got trademark registration over their mark on 11th August, 1992 with registration number 1707196 in USPTO. They have been using the mark since 16th September, 1935. To honour this well reputed, fortune 500 company we are making “Morgan Stanely” our “Trademark of the week.
