Trademark of the Month- Apple
We all are well acquainted with the half eaten apple logo. This logo belongs to one of the well known name in the consumer electronics, personal computer, server etc.
The company was the outcome of the hard work of two steves namely Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. They wanted to make user friendly computers. With this vision they started working in the garage of Steve jobs. They came up with a company and jobs named it Apple after coming back from an Apple farm. That is how today’s tech giant Apple Inc came into picture.
For more than three decades the company started manufacturing computers. The computers were manufactured by Steve Wozniak with his own hands. Some of the most famous computers include Apple II, Machintos, Power Mac lines etc. The company later on went to introduce iPod music player in 2001 and iTunes Music store. Apple got worldwide recognition and fame through iPhone, iPods and Macbook.
The company has its own share of ups and downs. Steve Jobs left Apple due to his difference of opinion between the then CEO Sculley. However, he returned again as the interim CEO, where he later on became the CEO and served as CEO until August 2011. Under the leadership of Steve Jobs “Apple” entered into partnership with Microsoft, they developed iMac and many more. Apple believes in employing some of the best brains in their board as a result of which Apple Inc owns many patents in multiple jurisdictions.
A dream of two youngsters has today become a reality with their hardwork,dedication and sincerity. Today Apple products are considered as luxury products. Although today Steve Jobs is no more, his legacy continues with his company. The company got registration over their mark with registration number 3928818 in USPTO and has been using the mark from 1st April, 1976.
