Today’s Patent- AIR REFRIGERATING APPARATUS
An air refrigerator is one of the most important pieces of equipment either in the kitchen for keeping the food safety or to keep us cool during the scorching heat. Oliver Josolyn Ellis, an inventor from England was awarded his U.S. Patent for the ‘Air Refrigerating Apparatus’ in 1885.
This invention relates to new and useful improvements in the apparatus. It consists of a steam cylinder, an air compressing pump and an air expanding cylinder. All of these are combined with coolers and condensers where the air circulating pump has certain peculiarities in its construction for an efficient and economical working of it.
There is a pump which is arranged at the end to act as an air – pump. It further helps in the circulating the pump at the other end which is generally applicable to the present invention for the condensation of steam and cooling of air effectively.
