TODAY’S PATENT- INFANT GARMENT
Disposable diapers and wipers have become common necessity in infant and child care now. An improvement to combining both diaper and wiper was done by James Curtis. James Curtis was granted patent over his invention by USPTO on June 28, 1988 with patent number US4753647. In recognition of this invention and this date, we present “Infant Garment” as our “Today’s Patent”.
Curtis invention eliminated the need of having diapers and wipers separately, instead he combined both into one garment. His invention included a disposable infant garment which takes the form of a diaper and on its outer side has a sealed, but openable, moisture-proof pocket which contains one or more clean-up wipers.
