Burberry limited, founded by “Thomas Burberry” in 1856 is a 163 year old brand is known worldwide for its luxury goods in the fashion industry. They design, develop, make and sell products under its brand name.
It initially gained fame for its invented weatherproof material called ”gabardine” which was a breathable, waterproof and hardwearing fabric in 1879 which he patented in the next year. They also had their unique logo which was called “Equestrian knight logo” used for the first time in 1901.
It eventually expanded its scope and they are now having connectivity in around 44 countries. They also have a Burberry foundation moving forward in helping young people to achieve their dream by giving 1 % of profit. They recently created a new Thomas Burberry (TB) monogram for their brand as a new innovative way of giving a face to the brand. Its first use was in 1910 and registered with USPTO in 1929 with application number 260843 it completes 90 years of being a registered mark and therefore it is our today’s trademark.
